The Dez Christmas Collection is a ode to the 12 Days of Christmas. Vincent Desmond Erskine is one of the master woodworkers at Penultimate Woodworks and has designed, built, and crafted a beautiful selection of mahogany, black walnut, hard and silver maple, padauk, and cherry wood charcuterie boards for the holiday season. His eye for details and love of woods allows him to create breathtaking and simple charcuterie, cutting, and serving boards.

Penultimate End grain cutting boards are crafted with the highest quality woods. Because the ends of wood facing up, versus the face or edge of the wood, your kitchen knife won’t be able to “sever” any wood fibers, meaning it will stay sharper longer. This produces a natural “self-healing” process as knife pulls out of the board and the fibers push back together. Each board is sanded to perfection, soaked in food safe mineral oil for 24 hours; and protected and sealed with our special blend of butcher board wax.

Penultimate Face grain charcuterie boards are crafted with the highest quality woods, aesthetically gorgeous, and shows the true beauty and natural colors in every piece of wood. At Penultimate Woodworks all of our desk are custom made to meet the needs of each individual customer. Desk can be made with Black Walnut, Cherry, Oak, and Poplar Wood and priced accordingly. Penultimate Tables are built with East Tennessee Urban Hardwood and skillfully crafted with excellence. All tops are jointed, sanded to perfection, and protected by multiple coats of Satin General Finish. Each Table is custom made to meet the needs of each individual customer. We currently have a few restored Vintage Mayline Drafting Tables. All hardware, hinges, bolts, dowels and cleats are original and are fully restored. Each Table is in excellent condition, a true masterpiece, it show cases the use of authentic hardwood and metal of its day!

The tables are solidly built of well-seasoned hardwood, heavy duty bolts, and steel dowels secure the frame into a firm solid unit. The Frame of the table is solid oak and the top is Basswood. The entire piece is protected with multiple thin coats of polyurethane.
